Where Innovation Meets Imagination

Nuage is more than just an art car—it’s a floating cloud on wheels, designed to evoke the feeling of weightlessness and wonder as it drifts across the playa. Inspired by the ephemeral beauty of nature and the ever-changing sky, Nuage represents transformation, freedom, and the fleeting magic of Burning Man.

Built from a Wilmer 745 crop sprayer, its elevated platform, standing six feet above the ground, offers breathtaking, unobstructed panoramic views of Black Rock City, making it an unparalleled space for performances, gatherings, and immersive experiences.

Taking on a massive engineering challenge, Nuage is being fully converted to electric, with unnecessary components like the diesel engine and sprayer booms removed. The structure is being reinforced to support dynamic art installations, ensuring that Nuage is not just a mode of transport but a mesmerizing spectacle that fuses light, sound, and movement into an interactive experience.

Wrapped in an ethereal swarm of illuminated butterflies, Nuage will glow and transform as day turns to night, blurring the boundaries between art, technology, and human connection. Every detail is meticulously planned, from dynamic LED displays to a high-fidelity sound system, creating an experience that invites participants to dance, connect, and explore.

Through deep collaboration between tech visionary Shane Foster and world-renowned artist Romain Lefebvre (Punkmetender), Nuage is becoming more than just a vehicle—it’s a moving canvas, a living dream, and a gathering place for those who seek the extraordinary.

Join us in shaping this masterpiece and be part of the journey to make Nuage a reality.

A Glimpse Into the Dream

The Visionaries Behind Nuage

Romain Lefebvre

Romain Lefebvre, aka Punkmetender, was born in the 80’s in Paris, France and immigrated to Los Angeles in early 2000. He was introduced to street art by Thierry Guetta, also known as Mr. Brainwash. The two artists worked together for over 10 years, making art and street art, traveling the world and holding art shows.

In 2016 Romain ventured out on his own, and Punkmetender was born. The name came from two of his major influences - Daft Punk and Elvis Presley. At first, graffiti and street art were his main goal, creating illegally on billboards or walls in the cover of night. But soon the focus evolved to fine art and mural installation. Butterflies became his source of inspiration because they represent freedom, spirit and beauty and they have become a consistent motif in his artwork.

Punkmetender is inspired by the intersection of street art and high fashion and is a favorite of the Kardashian/Jenner family. He lists Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier among the fashion icons who influence him as well as designer Philippe Starck and artists like Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Salvador Dalí.

Punkmetender executes his artworks with mixed media that may typically include freewheeling spray paint, bold colors, original photography and glossy embellishments such as sparkling Swarovski crystals, diamond dust, shiny acrylic coatings and three-dimensional elements.

Shane Foster

Shane Foster, also known as Ideas, is a tech innovator, visionary, and creative force based in Park City, Utah. With a deep background in technology, AI, and engineering, Shane has spent years at the forefront of emerging technologies, developing systems that push the limits of automation and intelligence. But his passions extend far beyond the digital world—his drive is fueled by bold, hands-on creativity and the pursuit of radical self-expression.

In 2024, Shane attended his first Burning Man, where he was captivated by the community’s boundary-pushing art, immersive experiences, and limitless creativity. The energy of the playa inspired him to contribute something extraordinary—a project that would merge cutting-edge engineering with surreal, dreamlike beauty. That vision became Nuage, a one-of-a-kind art car that redefines movement, connection, and spectacle at Burning Man.

From concept to execution, Shane has been at the center of Nuage’s transformation, orchestrating every detail of the build, securing crowdfunding, and assembling a team of engineers, artists, and dreamers to bring this vision to life. His expertise in AI and automation plays a role in Nuage’s innovative design, ensuring that the art car is not just visually stunning but technologically advanced and seamlessly interactive.

A firm believer in making things happen, Shane thrives on taking bold ideas and turning them into reality. Whether he’s problem-solving, engineering new solutions, or leading a team, his relentless drive and creativity are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
